despre viata cu Max

5CmACompetitia intre intrebari si raspusuri nu e decisa. Care-s mai bune? Intrebarile? Raspunsurile? Sigur exista intrebari mai bune decat raspunuri si raspusuri mai destepte decat intrebarile.

Prima carte a lui Max Lucado am deschis-o in 2000.

Autorul prezinta raspunsuri la 172 de intrebari portionate in tematici/capitole precum “Speranta”, “Ajutor”, “Durere”, “A avea si a nu avea”; (in engleza simti ca esti blocat la literea “H” a dictionarulului intrucat toate cele 7 capitole incep cu H (Hope, Hurt, Help, Him/Her, Home, Have/Have-Not, Hereafter).

Parcurgand “Max on Life” poti gasi raspunsul si la aceasta intrebare.

What’s the best? The questions? The answers? Competition between the questions and answers are decided yet. Certainly some times we find answers better questions or vice versa.

We live in a crisis times surrounded by multiple challenges; we need solutions we are looking for fast, quick results. Sometimes people are willing to accept any solution just to pass the crisis. In such an environment, we tend to appreciate more the books that offer easy answers. Easy come, easy go. We do not have answers for everything that happens in life. And we should not stop for going through some books that can brings some light on our road.

In 2000 I opened The first book by Max Lucado. After a few minutes I choose from book store other five Lucado’s books. His books have always been a good potential in counselling. I appreciate from the beginning his simple, profound style witch provides space for fresh insights.

“Max on Life” embedded a devotional style that emphasized Lucado writings on other occasions. The author is offering answers to the life’s issues and his new book contains 172 questions founded during his connections,  structured by chapters such as Hope, Hurt, Help, Him / Her, Home, Haven, Hereafter.

His answers always reflect a biblical argument which can be of great help for first time Bible-readers or for those have not read it all yet. Max Lucado is not showing and don’t want to impress with his own intellectual knowledge; rather he shows the skill to search the Bible for answers to our life situations. His words come from his personal experience combining the insights, thoughts and studies, his moments of prayer and reflection on Scripture.

Lucado’s pastoral heart is evident in every answer and his focus is to provide comfort more than just educate through his answers.

For some Christian Lucado seems to be an “easy” writer. How not very provocative writer answers to challenging problems? Reading “Max on Life” and you can find the answer to this question.
