Pressing Into Thin Places – review

Incurajare. Speranta. Inima calda/linistita.

Structurata in 12 sectiuni principale (din care as mentiona Speaking in the Waves, Tearing off the Mask, The Fall, Beauty from Ashes, Rebirth, and Amen) cartea vorbeste despre intelepciunea pe care trebuie sa o avem atunci cand nimic nu mai are sens si rost; in astfel de perioade cartea lui Margaret Harrell Wills transporta spre fiecare mesajul : “Tine-te de El, tine-L aproape!”

Autoarea, Dr. Margaret Harrell Wills, este implicata in sustinerea si incurajarea celor ce sunt in diferite stagii ale calatoriei lor spirituale. Este doctorand al University of Arkansas in domeniul istorie. A graduat si Chuck Colson’s Centurion Program for Worldview Leadership.

Encouragement. Hope. Warm heart. These are the words which I briefly describe the book “Into Thin Pressing Places: Encouraging the Heart toward God,” written by Margaret Harrell Wills.
In Celtic tradition of “thin place” is where heaven and earth mingle close, being separated by a thin curtain. There you can experience the powerful presence of God.
Transformation of human beings produced by obedience to the promptings of the Holy Spirit is a different process for each intensity and duration. Wills presents fragments of her personal experience that may help the readers understand how to be close to God when they are passing through the valley of shadows filled with misunderstandings, struggling with fear, disappointment, uncertainty.

Divided into 12 main sections (of which I want to mention  Waves Speaking, Tearing off the Mask, The Fall, Beauty from Ashes, Rebirth, and Amen) the book is talking about wisdom we need to have when  apparently nothing makes any sense; in such periods Margaret Harrell Willis’s book carries to each of us the message: “Hold Him, hold Him close!”
The author, Dr. Margaret Harrell Wills, is involved in supporting and encouraging those who are in different stages of their spiritual journey.
