In biserica imi dau seama ca aceasta dorinta se gaseste in orice parinte ai carui copii traverseaza sezonul adolescentei.

  • “The True Friend,”
  • “The Humble Hero,”
  • “The Servant Leader,”
  • “The Moral Motivator,”
  • “The Bold Adventurer,”
  • “The Noble Knight,”
  • “The Heart Patient.”

EG

When I was a kid, every time when we had seeing a plane we used to sing “take me to fly with you to become an pilot …”(may be this verse doesn’t have may be any relevance in English). Anyway, growing up I always admired people who were at the height without it spans dizziness – another Romanian slang – (and here I refer not only to pilots)

“Flight Plan” written Braxton Lee Burns and Brady was one of the challenges early in June (month and Father’s Day on the way). As a parent of teens I realize how important it is to have as many resources to help them and challenged them in a good way in order to embed and develop good Christian principles in their life.
What I liked at the first sight was that perspective of have a parallel between the flight training and acquiring skills for life. The book is well balanced with ideas and suggestions representing a useful resource for any educator, spiritual leader or parent. It is a book that wants to help young people to be right in their decision giving motivations to build the life’s plan based on Christian principles.
Braxton Lee Burns and Brady have compiled their program ideas and materials “Building Boys, Making Men” designed for students (boys, in number 630) from Presbyterian Day School (PDS) in Memphis, Tennessee.
Their experience was enriched in obtained feedback from parents, pastors and other teachers so that Flight Plan is now to be a curriculum that over 16 years to help develop more than 3,000 boys.
In Chapter 3 the authors set the flight plan details to be reached:
“The True Friend”
“The Humble Hero”
“The Servant Leader”
“The Moral reasons,”
“The Bold Adventurer,”
“The Noble Knight ‘
“The Heart Patient.”

These points – enhanced with images from Bible passages – represent in the author’s point of view, the seven indispensable virtues for a teen.

“Flight Plan” is a journey through the temptations and age specific issues, discussing uncomfortable topics such as peer pressure, alcohol, puberty, sex, family, school, girls, and friendship. Flight maps are structured around biblical passages that warn of potential failures faction and offers suggestions for success.

For me and my boy “The flight plan” is the first book that I read together this summer.
